Panasonic, well if you didn't notice, the main page says 'Welcome
to Panasonic Ringtone 101', so if the page is meant for let's say
Nokia, why would I put in the word Panasonic?
Why a page on Panasonic ringtone?
Other than the fact that I own a Panasonic and have nothing better
to do? Well, there's hardly any ringtone site for Panasonic so I
ended up creating my own ringtones and as the list grows, I thought
what the heck, I might as well post this up somewhere and thus the
page is born. Neah, actually I work for Panasonic to help them increase
their phone sales! :Þ

'Fraid not, since this is a Panasonic site. There is a webconverter
on the page though (contributed by Patrick) that will convert any
Panasonic ringtones into Nokia keypress and vice versa. If it doesn't
work for you, I can only say too bad. I'm not a programmer so I
don't know how to fix the script and since it was created by someone
who decided to help me on his own, I don't like to bug him to help
me fix it everytime some complains about it. If you wanna use the
ringtones here badly, you can either switch phone, convert them
manually or find some other alternatives I guess.

Switch to Panasonic? :Þ Seriously, there's an instruction
page that explains each keypress, so you can do the conversion manually.
It may be more work, but it does the job. Alternately, go buy one
of those ringtone converting software found online but then you
may not need to use the ringtones found on this page anymore.

Cos converting ringtone is a pain. As it is now, I have to convert
the original (GD92) keypress into 3 other versions (GD88,GD55 &
GD68) MANUALLY, I don't need more work. Besides, I'm using a Panasonic.
Why
are there no English/Korean ringtones?
Cos I don't listen to English songs, not as much as I used to anyway.
Neither do I listen to Kpop... the only Kpop I know are those covered
by Chinese artistes. And if they are already covered, there's no
point adding a Korean section.

Why should there be?? I'm really sick of questions like these. Like
I said before, there's probably a million and one artistes out there
who ARE NOT in my site. What am I gonna do if everyone starts asking
me the same questions? If the artistes you like are not found here,
it probably means :
1. I don't like them
2. I don't like their songs
3. Their songs are not popular enough
4. They are not popular enough
5. I'm too lazy to add them in
6. All of the above
I'm using Panasonic G50/G60/X70
and I can't find any ringtones for them here, what should I do?
Actually, G50 shares the same keypress as GD55 and X70 shares the
same keypress as GD87/88. I did not include X70 in the GD87/88 label
nor G50 in the GD55 label cos I want the site to be uniformed (it's
a weird preference), I don't want to go through the entire process
of making amendments to all the ringtones of my site again, so...
*shrug* The newer ringtones that I'm adding will include a g60 version
since it has an entirely different set of keypress. I'm supposed
to be converting the rest of the jpop section to the other format
(most of them only has the format for GD92) but since there's now
a webconverter, I get a little lazy about it. But if there's some
songs that you'll want badly and you can't get it converted to the
format you want (only for Panasonic), drop me a line and I'll have
it converted and uploaded in my next update.

Cause I created them from scratch once they are released. And no,
I DO NOT convert my ringtones from midi.

By playing the samples I found over and over while trying to get
the right note using the ringtone player found on my link page.
Yes, it's a lot of hardwork, that's why I'm quite reluctant to add
artistes or songs I have no interest in.

If you bothered checking the instruction page before coming here,
you'll know that the '>' sign means pressing the right navigation
button on your phone. If you don't know what that means, sorry I
can't help you then. As to how to use the ringtones, once you are
in the ringtone composer of your phone, just key in whatever you
see on my page, in your phone. Do keep in mind that what you key
in and what you see on the screen of your phone will not be the
same thing.
The
ringtone sounds funny, what did I do wrong?
You may have key in some wrong note, try keying it again. If it
still sounds funny, you may have key in the wrong version of ringtone
(there's 4 different version of keypress). If all fails, drop me
a message and I'll check out the ringtone. I do have the tendency
to screw up since I usually start creating the ringtone while the
song is still very new, so I'm not that familiar with the song and
thus, I tend to make mistake here and there. Do let me know which
are the funny sounding one though. There's over one thousand ringtones
here and I can't go checking on them one by one. Just a note, GD87/88
do not share the same keypress as GD68, so if those ringtones listed
them together, it will sound funny on your GD68.
Can

Not anymore, sorry. There's way too many ringtones now for me to
start adding a midi samples. If you really need a sample, go download
the ringtone player (http://home.kimo.com.tw/ringtoneplayer), cut
and paste the keypress for GD92 and you'll be able to know how they
sound.

No. If the ringtone is too long for your phone, go download the
ringtone player (http://home.kimo.com.tw/ringtoneplayer), trim it
to the length you want and then key it in your phone/convert it
using the ringtone converter.

If you loop the ringtones, they should sound fine. If not, drop
me a mail and let me know which are the problematic ones.

If they are not taken from some other page, sure, send them to me
and I'll credit you in my page. Please do not send me ringtones
found on someone else's page. I hate people posting my ringtones
without credits or permission and I'm sure they feel the same.

Sometimes I may have forgotten to upload some files and sometimes,
the webhost may be acting cranky. And if you click on the songs
and nothing happen, it probably means that you did not enable javascript
on your browser or you may have some software that blocks out pop-up
windows. And I don't know how to fix these problems.

NO! I hate it when people tell me to help them find/locate/search
for a ringtone. I don't help people find ringtones, if you are looking
for ringtones, head over to www.google.com and do a search over
there. I create all ringtones from scratch so it bugs the hell out
of me when people tell me to help them search for ringtones. Kinda
like making a mockery out of my effort.

No. I used to take in requests, but not anymore cos I'm sick of
people who do not bother thanking me after I get them what they
want. What's the big deal you might think? Well, it feels like I
delivered something to someone who requested for that something
and they never acknowledge receiving it. And besides, weren't we
all taught from young to say 'Thanks' when someone helped you? All
you gotta do is post a 'thank you' message which probably won't
even take like 5 minutes of your time. Creating your ringtone takes
way longer than that. If I'm not worth your 5 minutes, you are certainly
not worth my time either.
Will
you start taking in requests again?
I'm not sure. But chances are, if you are asking for songs by artistes
that I like, I may add it in. But then again, if I'm in a bad mood
that day or if you bug me hard enough, I may NEVER add in the song
not matter how popular or how much I like it. :Þ Oh yeah,
every now and then, I may start asking you for ringtones idea (especially
when I run out of stuff I wanna add, so this is the chance to start
requesting!) so do watch out at the shoutbox for such announcement.
How
do you decide what ringtone to add?
I toss a coin... NOT! Priority goes to artistes I like I guess and
then how popular the artistes or songs is. Sometimes if a song or
artiste is popular enough, I'll add them in even if I don't care
for them. And if the song and artiste is popular and you still don't
find them here, I probably don't like them! :Þ I prefer band/group
to soloist and female to male singers (it should be obvious from
the list of ringtones available on my page) and I don't really like
boybands. Give me L'Arc~en~Ciel or Glay or even Morning Musume over
Smap or V6 any day!

Actually, heck no. If this page only has artistes that I like, you
probably won't be here right now. Like I said, if an artiste or
a song is popular enough, it will probably find its way here. If
it isn't, I probably don't like the song or the artiste or I'm just
too lazy to add them in. Most of the time, I'll try to add in ringtones
that I think you guys will like (for example, I'm not a big fan
of Hamasaki Ayumi but knowing that many likes her and are always
looking for her ringtones, I have plenty of her stuff here), if
I'm wrong, then too bad.

I don't, sorry. I don't know how to create them but if you check
out my links page, you would be able to find plenty of midi sites.
Most cellphones should support midi to be used as ringtone. While,
I could probably get those midis from the other sites and pass them
off as my own in my site and save you guys the trouble, I don't
like 'stealing' other people's hardwork. And if you're using samsung
phone and it doesn't support midi files, I've also included the
link to get the psm player so that you can convert them to mmf format.
How
often do you update your page?
I don't know. It usually depends on how many ringtones I've managed
to 'accumulate'. Sometimes I'll create all the ringtones at one
go, and sometimes I'll create them every now and then, and when
I feel that the collection is big enough for an update, I'll convert
them, do them into html and upload them.
Can
you inform me whenever your page is updated?
I guess so. Drop me an email or something and I'll write you a mail
whenever I update my page but do note that I have a bad memory so
sometimes I may forget to send you a mail. (eg. I just remembered
I haven't been sending emails to inform some people that I've updated
my page since MONTHS ago!! Yes, I'm am THAT forgetful)

Yes, IF you link back to my page and credit me for it. It'll be
nice too if you will let me know before doing so. I do tend to get
really angry when people post my ringtones at other places (some
forums, bbs, message board, even their own sites, etc) without giving
me credits. It feels like they are stealing my hard work. I know
the songs do not belong to me and I do not have copyright to them
but am I not the one who spent hours creating them, so shouldn't
I be given credit? I'm not even saying that you MUST get my permission
to post them elsewhere but the least you can do is, give credits
where it's due. It's not so hard right?
